In this course, participants will be introduced to the culture and components of oriental percussion instruments and be briefed about percussion philosophy as well as ways to produce correct sounds with the drums and riq [tambourine]. They will also learn a few percussion rhythms from the Gulf and other Arab regions and practise some songs using these rhythms.

This programme is in partnership with Yamaha Thomsun.
