Overview

Jun Yang's practice ranges from film making to initiating a restaurant (ra'mien) in Vienna and creating a hotel room for the GfZK (Museum of Contemporary Art in Leipzig). Considering his participation in the Pilot Micro Multiplex│Mall exhibition, the Artist will discuss the conditions specific to working as an artist in the 'protected' contexts offered by art institutions and in 'real' circumstances present within the public realm. What are the different challenges and advantages of working with the parameters that determine specific environments and what can be proposed within these frameworks?
