Story of an object
Workshop for Children and Families
Date: Sunday, 17 July 2022
Timings: 11:00 am–1:00 pm
Location: Collections Building, Arts Square
Ages: 6–10
Languages: English and Arabic
Participants will be asked to select a random object, and then they will be encouraged to imagine this object out of its usual context. They will build a character for this object and develop a story behind it. This workshop focuses on the imagination and skills required to create a storyline.
Make your own movie poster
Workshop for Children and Families

Timings: 11:00 am–1:00 pm

Ages: 6–10
Languages: English and Arabic
In this workshop, participants will create their own movie poster with specific dimensions. They will get their inspiration from a cartoon poster that will be shown to them during the workshop.
House of Wisdom
Workshop for Children and Families
Date: Thursday, 21 July 2022
Timings: 11:00 am–1:00 pm
Location: Collections Building, Arts Square
Ages: 6–10
Languages: English and Arabic
Participants will go on a guided tour of the House of Wisdom. They will visit Al Jazri Lab, a digital fabrication laboratory where creators can create and innovators can innovate with ease, using state-of-the-art technology and tools. The Little Reader is a dedicated space to educate and entertain children in a safe and fun environment.
