Writing is an intimidating act. Writing about art or visual culture is even more so. In this two-part workshop, we'll learn how to critically evaluate visual culture and be more engaged and self-assured as viewers. We will begin by learning to trust our instincts, to discern between good and shallow investigations of visual culture and analyse work in both physical and digital spaces. The second half will be generative. We will write and edit short texts together to practise critiquing with care. No prior arts knowledge is required.
