Walking through Souk Al Arsa.

Overview

Participants of #SB12PhotoWalk discovered Sharjah through Sharjah Biennial 12: the past, the present, the possible on Saturday, 16 May, 2015. They began their journey with presentations on urban photography skills delivered by Gulf Photo Plus and MobiPixUAE. They proceeded to walk to the heart of Souk Al Arsa, where shops owners spoke to them about the history of their shops over lunch. They then continued to SAF Art Spaces, Port Khalid and Calligraphy Square.

As the day came to an end, a competition was held where a panel of judges selected 7 winning photos of the day, awarding participants prizes from SAF Shop and Gulf Photo Plus.

This event was organised as part of SAF’s Community Programme offering visitors a unique way to view SB12. To participate in upcoming Photo Walks, or plan your own, please send an e-mail to info@sharjahart.org.
