Biography
Curator and writer Gökcan Demirkazık will soon be moving to a new position as Research/Editorial Assistant at SALT in order to work with curator Merve Elveren, who has worked extensively on the history of contemporary culture and arts in Turkey. His plan is to focus on contemporary art from Arabophone countries for his graduate studies in the future. As he has worked with many artists from the region, mainly Lebanon, his familiarity with contexts and discursive matters greatly facilitates dialogue on comparable cultural dynamics as well as national idiosyncrasies.
