Overview

Daniela Pérez is an independent curator based in Mexico City. She is the Co- Founder of de_sitio, a non-profit platform that promotes contemporary art projects. Between 2007 and 2011, she was the Associate Curator at Museo Tamayo where she curated a variety of exhibitions, including: The Marquise Went out at Five...Jorge Méndez Blake, I am a fe(MEN)ist, by MEN, Chronicles of Absence Oscar Muñoz and Rosangela Rennó, The Line of the Volcano. Pérez has also worked at Museu de Arte Moderna, Sao Paulo, the New Museum, New York and Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil, Mexico City. She has participated as jury member for contemporary art prizes and collaborates regularly on texts for contemporary art magazines and catalogues. She has taught several art courses at La Esmeralda and Soma in Mexico City and holds an MA in Curating Contemporary Art from the Royal College of Art, London.
