Biography

Sara Ramo often concentrates on a single action or sequence of events, using both formal and conceptual strategies to map the tension between order and disorder.

Ramo’s work has been featured in solo shows at Centro Dos de Mayo, Madrid (2012); Fundação Eva Klabin, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (2012); Espacio de Arte Contemporáneo, Montevideo, Uruguay (2011) and the Photographer’s Gallery, London(2009), among other venues; as well as in group exhibitions, including Um Outro Lugar, Museu de Arte Moderna de São Paulo, Brazil (2011); São Paulo Bienal (2010) and Fare Mondi/Making Worlds, Venice Biennale, Italy (2009).
