Biography

Trampoline House is a volunteer-run community centre in Copenhagen for asylum seekers, those whose asylum request has been rejected, and refugees with residence permits in Denmark. It works to improve the various groups’ legal rights, equality and participation in Danish society by offering legal counselling, organising activities and running campaigns. The efforts of the centre contribute to strengthening the users' professional competencies, social networks and democratic participation and shed light on the human consequences of the continuous tightening of Denmark's immigration policy.

In addition to displaced people, Trampoline House is a gathering place for Danish citizens and international residents. All groups work together for a more humane and inclusive refugee policy, in the view that integration starts with arrival in Denmark and not after years of dehumanising asylum procedures and isolation in refugee camps.

Nabila Saidi and Joachim Hamou are co-founders of Trampoline House.
