Artist Statement
Will new flowers blossom from the existing rotten system? Can we remain independent, capable of adding value? If not, then what shall we do?
My works have no specific meaning – this is left for the audience to decide. But they wipe a layer of dust from the surface of reality, forcing it to expose its true face. Reality exists independently of politics, ideology and philosophy.
I maintain my works’ self-defeating spirit. They try to sever their ties to practical significance and self-knowledge. They almost become their own antibodies, the result of rationalising reality. I hope viewers can feel the power and existence of reality through these antibodies, and that this can be a source of new possibilities.
