Pilot Micro Multiplex Mall

Overview

Pilot Micro Multiplex Mall was an exhibition curated by Claudia Pestana. It presented works by Heman Chong, Dirk Fleischmann and Jun Yang who transformed Bait Al Shamsi, one of Sharjah Art Foundation’s spaces, into a micro mall or shopping centre. The exhibition addressed aspects of production, distribution and reception to reflect on the roles of presentation and promotion in contemporary artistic practices. This booklet accompanied the exhibition, and includes a foreword by Pestana, interview between each artist and the curator, as well as descriptions and visuals of the works that were on view.
