Cultural Policy: How Policy and Regional Governments Support Artistic Residencies, Commissions and Communitie

The absence of a codified government arts policy has been often noted by cultural figures within the UAE as problematic in the development of a broader cultural landscape. This panel will discuss the current situation in the UAE and the greater MENASA region, with a view to making recommendations for constructive steps that governments can take themselves and in partnership with NGOs in order to support the needs of the growing cultural sector.
