Course Description

This conceptual as well as practical course explores issues of identity in image making. Participants will be invited to reflect on the act of ‘performing the self’ and will be given a brief history of landscape and self-representation in photography, as well as an explanation of camera functions by visual artist Tarek Al Ghoussein.

Participants will need to bring in 10 A4 printed images of previous work, as well as their own DSLR cameras, to the first class. They will then be given an assignment to work on independently and will need to bring this in to the second class for a group critique and discussion.
