Biography

Christa Krings (b. 1988, Guatemala City) is a community developer of analog and digital content, copywriter, digital media manager and event producer. She is a believer in the strength of the collective, encounters as catalysts of ideas, sentipensar—from Spanish: sentir/feel and pensar/think, ways of knowing and being rooted in thinking with both heart and mind—as a source of knowledge and in the use of activism as a generator of change. Her areas of interest include human rights, gender, ecology and diversity. Krings is a co-founder and active member of Guatemalan groups Resisters and La Revuelta. Krings has been involved in the management and communication of many projects, including Wanderlust (2007), Guatephoto (2012), Nómada (2016), 1001 Noches (2018), Visibles (2020) and CARTI (2022). Currently, she is involved in the production of the Cibaque political thought meetings of the 25a Institute and the communication of the contemporary art space La Nueva Fábrica.
