Biography

Ivet Ćurlin (b. 1969, Split) is a curator. She is a member of What, How & for Whom/WHW, a curatorial collective formed in 1999 and based in Zagreb, Vienna and Berlin. The focus of her curatorial interest is the potential of self-organisation within the expanded realm of contemporary art, relations of art and social change, questions of collectivity, internationalism, education and cultural geopolitics. What, how and for whom, the three basic questions of every economic organisation, was the name of a project dedicated to the 152nd anniversary of the Communist Manifesto in Zagreb (2000); it became the motto and title of the WHW art collective. Since 2003, WHW has been organising production, exhibition and publishing projects as well as running the programme for Gallery Nova in Zagreb. In 2018, WHW launched an independent international study programme for emerging artists called WHW Akademija, based in Zagreb.
