Biography

Palestinian poet Mosab Abu Toha (b. 1992, Gaza) is the author of Things You May Find Hidden in My Ear: Poems from Gaza (City Lights, 2022). This debut poetry collection won the American Book Award (2023), Derek Walcott Prize for Poetry (2022), Palestine Book Award (2022) and was shortlisted for the National Book Critics Circle Award for Poetry. He is the founder of the Edward Said Library, Gaza’s first English-language library. In 2019–2020, Abu Toha was a Visiting Poet in the Department of Comparative Literature at Harvard University. His writings from Gaza have appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times, Washington Post, The Nation and Financial Times. His poems have been published in The New Yorker, Poetry, The Nation, Los Angeles Review of Books, The New York Review of Books, The Atlantic, among others.
