Overview
Beatrix Ruf has served as the Director/Curator of the Kunsthalle Zürich since September 2001. She also was the 2008 Curator of the Yokohama Triennial with Daniel Birnbaum and Hans Ulrich Obrist, Co-Curator of the 2007 Lyon Biennale and Curator of the 2006 Tate Triennial, London. Prior to her appointment at the Kunsthalle Zürich , she was the Director/Curator of the Kunsthaus Glarus and from 1994-1998, and Curator at the Kunstmuseum of the Canton of Thurgau. Since 1995 she has been Curator of the Ringier Collection and since 1999 a boardmember of the Schweizerische Graphische Gesellschaft (SGG) and member of the Art Commission of Swiss Re. Since 2003 she has also served as Associate Editor of the publishing house JRP/Ringier. She has organised exhibitions, has written essays and published catalogues on numerous leading, contemporary international artists.
