Overview

"My work is about the hole. The hole of a doughnut becomes visible because of the doughnut. In my work I create the doughnut to get closer to the hole.

For me art are like the human body - they consist of bones and muscles. I see the bones as representing the concept while the muscles represent the formal aspects of the work. Normally the art work is an interplay between both. I am interested in working to develop the muscles to create a sort of monster without a skeleton. there is a chance that in the end it will become grotesque, but that is a chance that I will take."
