Session Description

The Agriculture School Reading Session and Suhoor
In collaboration with The Agriculture School

With Moza Almatrooshi

Date: Sunday, 2 April 2023
Timings: 9:30pm – 11:30pm
Meeting Point: Al Jubail Old Vegetable Market
Language: English / Arabic

Enjoy a selection of delicious dishes while you learn about the research literature that provided the background for Moza Almatrooshi’s SB15 project The Agriculture School (2022–ongoing), which focuses on botany and agricultural practices. Prepared with foraged plants and locally sourced ingredients from regions explored in her project, each dish will be directly related to a text that was crucial to Almatrooshi’s research. You will be able to snack from the suhoor ‘grazing table’ throughout the duration of the book club.

The Agriculture School is a community and student programme of workshops, discussions and meals that aim to build a framework of knowledge about agricultural practices in different natural and urban environments and the relationship that farmers and consumers have with these environments.
