The works I exhibit here in Sharjah are part of an ongoing series I have been working on since 1994.

This video project explores human relations as they relate to race, gender, language, culture, and social background.

The ongoing construction of the ‘Defense Barrier’ in Palestine continues to cause worldwide outrage.

The artistic vision I am trying to convey through this work lies in the difference between vision and illusion, between seeing an image and moving away from it into a world of imagination. A moment’s reflection reveals that an illusory image often leads the observer into a heightened sense of visual and mental awareness.

Portraying the pomegranate (the skin and seeds) as the central image, this video work is an attempt to reflect upon the human need to find that perfect niche to fit into, as well as that need to return to our origin, all of which to satisfy the desire to belong.
