Art Tours

Overview

Students from universities or other educational institutions, visitors from community and government organisations, and private groups are invited to participate in art tours at Sharjah Art Foundation. The guided tours are designed to provide an overview of the Foundation’s exhibitions, events and venues and/or to focus on one or two exhibitions in detail.

Participants are greeted by a team member from the Programme for Youth and Adults, who speaks briefly about Sharjah Art Foundation’s mission and the range of programmes and exhibitions offered. Then experienced guides or art practitioners conduct the tour. At the conclusion of the tour, participants discuss what they have seen and learned and share feedback about what they consider the most interesting aspects of the tour.

Offered in both Arabic and English, art tours can be scheduled from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, Saturday through Thursday. Tours usually begin at the Collections Building, Arts Square, or Information Centre, Al Mureijah Art Spaces.

All art tours, except for those at Rain Room, are free and open to the public. Supporting materials are provided by the Foundation.
