A self-taught artist, Hisham Youssef uses his experience in furniture making and building restoration to create mostly wooden sculptures, ranging in size from two inches to sixty feet.

One of the members of the Egyptian avant-garde movement, Kamal Youssef is a painter and sculptor whose work spans over 70 years.

Well known for his powerful tenor voice, singer and songwriter Youssou N’Dour has introduced audiences around the world to mbalax, a style of popular Senegalese music.

The four artists were drawn together by their common interests: a dedication to exploring space and place as well as their own roles and representations.

Dayang Yraola focuses on art as expanded practice involving residencies, performances, exhibits and archives, including research on ecology of art practices.
