Biography

In 2003, Carlos Amorales launched the discographic project Nuevos Ricos with musician Julian Lede. His solo exhibitions include Carlos Amorales Remix, Palazzo delle Esposizioni, Rome, Italy (2010); Vivir por fuera de la casa de uno, Museo Amparo, Puebla, Mexico (2010); Discarded Spider, Orange County Museum, California, USA (2009) and Cincinnati Art Center, Ohio, USA (2008) and Four Animations, Five Drawings and a Plague, Philadelphia Art Museum, Pennsylvania, USA (2008).

Amorales’s work was also featured in Manifesta 9, Genk, Belgium (2012); Havana Biennial, Cuba (2009) and Performa, New York, New York (2007). In 2003, he represented the Netherlands at the Venice Biennale, Italy.
