Biography

Mishari Al Najjar (b. 1988, Kuwait City) is an architect and artist. In his research practice, he adopts a multidisciplinary approach where the realms of architecture, textile and storytelling intersect. His work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions at various institutions, including Al Makan Cube, Kuwait City; Sadu House, Kuwait; Misk Art Institution, Riyadh; and Sikka Arts Festival in Dubai. He has also participated in art residencies in Sadu House and Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Center in Kuwait. A recipient of the Misk Art Institute Art Grant (2021), Al Najjar is the co-founder of in narrative, an exploratory platform that further expands his field of research and injects storytelling into architecture. in narrative has conducted various workshops in the Gulf region, along with ongoing research on architecture and the built environment in Kuwait City.
