Biography

Maryam Rahman is a multidisciplinary artist. Her practice encompasses video, installation, public art intervention, miniature painting and drawing. She has a particular affinity with drawing as a thinking tool, a direct mode of expression and a formal art discipline.
She is a graduate of the Slade School of Fine Art, London. She teaches at the National College of Art and studies Lahori Nastaliq calligraphy at Hast-o-Neest Institute, both in Lahore. She also manages the eponymous art estate of her late aunt—artist, activist and pedagogue Lala Rukh.
