Sharjah Art Foundation welcomes participants of all abilities. The workshops offered by SAF are catered to individuals with physical, learning and developmental difficulties, helping them discover new ways of self expression through art. All workshops are led by experienced professionals from different respective fields.

  • Current Programme

    • Winter 2020

    Sharjah Art Foundation offers a range of courses, workshops, excursions and other activities for individuals with physical, learning and developmental difficulties. Designed for participants aged three and above, the various sessions aim to help people with disabilities discover new ways of self-expression through art. All sessions are facilitated by experienced professionals in English and/or Arabic, depending on the needs of the participants. Most sessions take place in the Art for All Center, Al Mureijah Square, but some will be held in Sharjah Art Foundation spaces or other venues.

    The Winter 2020 Programme for People with Disabilities, scheduled from 18 January to 7 March, includes courses and workshops in sculpture, drawing, painting and photography as well as an excursion to Kalba and gardening and performance activities.

    Sharjah Art Foundation is committed to making its programmes as inclusive and accessible as possible. Disability symbols are included in session descriptions to indicate accessibility.

    • Autumn 2019

    The Autumn 2019 Education Programme for People with Disabilities, scheduled from 21 September to 21 November, includes a wide range of educational offerings for individuals with physical, learning and developmental difficulties. The workshops are designed to help people with disabilities aged 3 and above to discover new ways of self-expression through art. All workshops are facilitated by experienced professionals, and sessions are conducted in English and Arabic, according to the needs of the participants.

    Sharjah Art Foundation is committed to making its programmes as inclusive and accessible as possible. Disability access symbols are included in all Education Programme descriptions to indicate the accessibility of individual sessions.

Designed for participants ranging from 7 to 30 years of age, all workshops are facilitated by experienced professionals.
