Overview
Designed for participants aged 3 to 18, the Schools Programme offers a variety of workshops and tours for schools and community centres. The workshops, led by professional artists, aim to discover participants' talents, enhance their technical skills and knowledge, and build self-confidence. The tours, usually visits to ongoing Sharjah Art Foundation exhibitions and permanent installations such as Rain Room, function as stand-alone activities or provide important context for the activities in the workshops.
Interested schools and community centres can select the workshops and/or tours, dates and times that are most appropriate for them. Workshops usually last from one to one and a half hours, and tours can take 30 minutes to an hour. Sessions are conducted in Arabic and/or English, depending on the needs of the participants.
All workshops and tours of Schools Programme are free and open to all, with the exception of the "Rain Room" tours (discounted for students). All required materials for the workshops are provided by Sharjah Art Foundation.
