The film draws on the similarities between Gnawa, which is rooted in Sufi-Islamic beliefs, and the Brazilian martial art capoeira.
‘Gnawa Capoeira Brothahood’ is both a study in contrasts as well as an intimate conversation between cultural practices separated by oceans.
